Testosterone Shots and Gel May Reduce Heart Attack Risk In Men With Coronary Artery Disease

A study from Intermountain Medical Center explored the effects of testosterone therapy in men with no prior history of heart disease and found that it did not increase the risk of stroke or heart attack. Further investigation researched the effect of testosterone supplementation in men who have already developed coronary artery disease. The study worked with 755 males and found that the control group of men that did not have any type of testosterone had a higher risk of coronary events than patient who were on testosterone therapy.
